I believe a total moratorium on all immigration for at least 5 years would be a good idea

I could live with that, too.

We have a congressman from Western Missouri whose name is Sam Graves has recommended just this. He took some hits in the media then he turned around and joined Tom Tancredo's Immigration Reform Caucus. Hopefully we'll be hearing more from him.
