McClintock wouldn't win even with Arnold out of the race. It's too soon after the Simon debacle to think things have changed much in this state.

Let me guess, it wasn't to bail California out of it's financial demise, no it was to posture a political party in the "great state" right?

I appreciate your sarcasm. Of course the reason for the recall is fiscal, and a Republican must receive sufficient votes to win the election. I admit to a cost-benefit analysis of my conservative vote

Costs - Compromise, to a tolerable extent, my principles and accept a candidate with less direct experience.

Benefits - A Republican governor and a de-railing, to some extent, of the radical Democrat/liberal agenda.
