You don't understand California politics. McClintock occupies a safe State Senate seat and is popular in his district (won 58%-42% in 2000 - reapportioned district is even more conservative). Take care of Canadian (or is it Canadien???) politics before you opine about ours.

Thanks, pal.I do understand all that, btw, and his safe seat will mean diddly when a Republican gov named Arnie doles out perks and Tom's name won't be on the list of favoured few. He'll be roadkill sacrificed by his own vanity.
Your guy's such a dynamic presence that he can only carry his district and nothing else.Oh yeah, he's got the Big Mo!20+ yrs of Big Mo!

McClintock occupies a safe State Senate seat and is popular in his district Listening to Larry Elder on the way home. He opined that eventually term limits will smack Tom McClintock in the rear. Then he'll have to get a real job.
Tom's name will rightly be mud by then. The CA state GOP will never back him and almost all Republicans in CA have very poor feelings towards him right now. I personally would never vote for him.

(I'm voting for Arnold. McClintock doesn't deserve my vote!)
