You can NOT be serious!! Bush gets FACTS from all kinds of sources...why would he waste time reading second hand stuff??? That's the sign of a good manager and smart person. It would be like a CEO reading The National Enquirer.....geesh.

It would be like a CEO reading The National Enquirer.....geesh. Yes, im serious. Bush is a big boy and can distiguish rags from quality news. I dont see why it is such a big deal to open up a newspaper with your cup of coffee in the morning and say "Yea, I sometimes look over the headlines..." (which I have to believe he does)
Sounds alot better than "No...I got people to do that". Just doesnt sound real plugged in to me. (yes, im still voting for him, just trying to view it from a middle-roader)

Since I watched the interview with Brit Hume, the context for GW's statement that he didn't read the news was exactly that.
He stated that he preferred to get his information straight from the sources, that is, -the actual people involved, or people who had reported to his sources.
This fact obviously was deliberately ignored by this po-dunk reporter who felt snubbed and out of the Presidential information loop. And deservedly so!....
