Well, speaking as a Californian, first, the state IS populated with idiots.

But second, it takes more than good ideas and right positions to be a leader, my friend RO. You have to play well with others, and have to persuade others to want to play with you... in fact, to play your game.

McClintock falls short on both counts.

I remember a man named Howard Hendricks asking and answering the question, "How do you tell if you're a leader?"

Answer: "If people follow you."

Some are following Tom. More are following Arnold. And Tom's been darned petty about it.

I stand corrected. Voters in California are not stoopid, the state is populated with idiots. Please forgive me Shelly.

I think it was good for Californians to see true conservatism in a debate, so I'm glad McClintock has stayed in. He also mentioned he was pro-life, supported the 2nd Amendment, and said he was against the drivers licesnses for illegals. From what I saw, hands down, McClintock is better than Arnold. Now is he electable? I'd bet McClintock and Arnold are working on their deal right now. I'd LOVE to see McClintock run against Boxer for Senate!
