The joe schmoe voter is more likely to go Arnie,You're right about that.
who did good as well, that being the case I offer the following scenario... Arnie endorsed by Tom. Tom becomes "Budget Czar" under Arnie. As California is turned around, Tom runs for senate on the California miracle, funded, supported and backed by Bush, Arnie and a grateful Rep. party.....
I think TM would be wasted in DC. I've seen congress devour too many intelligent and capable politicians. No, that guy was made to be governor of CA.
Its too bad for him (and we Californians) that things have shaped up the way they have, what with a movie star jumping in...

McClintock in still young. He has a bright future. I know folks consider Arnie a sell-out, but many here are just being realist. Joe Schmoe voter couldn't find McClintock on a ballot.
Sad really.
I'd like to see McC pull out for the good of the party. That sort of "falling on your sword" would endear him to a core of Cali repubs for life.
He needs to grow on people.
A guy put it here best, McC is the guy you'd hire to manage your business, but you'd never let him out on the sales floor.
If he stays in, based on principle, I could understand, and even respect that.
I think it would be a
d@mn shame to do that though, and plunge Cali into another round of Demo foolishness but its not my call.
Must be a heck of a decision....
Arnie is not Uber-Republican. But we know what happens to our guys who run on the left coast.
Either way, I just hope Cali can somehow get outta this mess, the whole state of affairs is just a dang shame.....
