Bingo. Arnold couldn't have asked for it any better; Arianna provided him the perfect foil to show the he can take the heat in the kitchen, and come out in charge, sense of humor intact.

I am pretty sick and tired of those supporting Arnold being called RINOS.

I agree! That's how I feel on the PA Freeper board where the Pat Toomey supporters are trading barbs with the Arlen Specter supporters. I thought the bottom line is to WIN THE ELECTION, not tear each other down.

Well, not watching the debate, but learning from these threads and the news....I would vote for McClintock if I were a registered voter in California.

I was hoping Arnold would show that he has a firm grasp of the miserable situation in California. Maybe he does, but he seemed to talk about "the children" way too much, as if he was another Democrat in the pocket of the education mafia, just like the rest of the scumbags. Pandering to the sucker moms and the illegals will only take you so far. And personally, I like candidates who also give a crap about former children, ie., taxpaying grownups.

On the other hand, who didn't pump their fist into the air when Tom McClintock looked straight into the camera and proudly recited clearly and specifially what he stands for: He is the only candidate to sign a "no tax increase" pledge; he is the only candidate who is pro-life; and he is the only candidate who stands firmly behind the entire Bill of Rights, "including the second amendment".

Wowza....!!!

McClintock won this debate in a walk, and you have to be completely blinded by an irrational desperation to "win" at any cost if you didn't see it. Whoever came in second wasn't close to McClintock.

Heck with governor of California - - let that place swirl away down the liberal toilet where the people have been voting it for years anyway - - I would like a President like McClintock. What a stunning performance.

The other Republican uses the taxes of the businessman to pay himself and his staff well while preaching about fiscal responsibility. His debate skills were gained over 20 years at the taxpayers expense.

Cheap shot.

Those we hire to work for us deserve to be paid for said labor.

One look at California's budget problems and entitlements built into system, it is well nigh impossible that anything but further catastrophe will befall her in the next years. The left which created the problem should take responsibility for same. Any republican elected to preside over this catastrophe will simply dilute the responsibility from where it belongs. We know the problems that Bush has in dealing with a congress that the republicans control (more or less). There is no possibility that any constructive legislation can come from that socialist snakepit in Sacramento called the California legislature.

They all agreed ... that Arnold and Tom would make a great team, and then sighed, shruged their shoulders and said that they were going to vote for a Republican for the first time in their lives. "I just can't afford to have more of my money taken away, and just wasted by idiots like Bustamante and Davis."

Maybey all is not yet lost. What's that old definition of a Conservative? Something about a Liberal who has just been mugged?

McClintock is the only one who didn't dance around the question or profess love of illegals. Camajo said that the illegals work the hardest. I get sick of hearing that garbage. And the idiots in the audience applauding Cruz for defending free medical for illegals. That audience was loaded with democrats.

McClintock!

The mainstream press put Arnold in the running and the polls. And now, we Republicans are told to kow tow to the press. I find it amusing.

In all my years at FR, this was the FASTEST moving thread ever. Lots of great comments. And Jim's system handled it. Amazing.

Your yawn basically sums up your achievements as well.

You know nothing of my achievements, insipid one. However, your ill-informed and sophomoric comments speak well of your stature, which is arguably insignificant.

McClintock is in the minority in the Senate. I don't think politicians should get all of the perks they get, but McClintock is on the right side. I'm glad Arnold has made alot of money. His movies have done so much to improve the state. The taxes he has paid help pay for people like McClintock. Maybe Larry Flint would be the one to pick. He has made alot of money, maybe even more than Arnold.
