42 vs. 40 is a statistical deadheat. Its same as tossing a coin. The lead by Arnold is real and would take something really significant to wipe it out. A sunny day could bring out enough Dems to put Bustamante over the edge in a 42-40 race.

You miss the point, possibly intentionally.
This poll indicates that McClintock COULD win a head-to-head race. That's a significant development, IF (IF IF IF IF) the poll is as accurate as this article claims.
IF (IF IF IF IF) this is the case, then it COULD bring in more support for McClintock, who is unarguably more conservative than the actor.
IF (IF IF IF IF) you misinterpret what I've written here, shame on you.

A sunny day could bring out enough Dems to put Bustamante over the edge in a 42-40 race."Could"? I thought poll numbers were God? That is the best you got? Your constant yelling of "Boo" at Conservatism is getting pretty lame now on Sept 24th. Is their any depth you will not sink to in order to say it "can't be done?"
Next thing you we know "Dave S" is just going to be screaming Aiiieeee! in the debatory meltdown.
