I give up. "Absolutely" is an answer, no? This whole thread is based on a pie-in-the-sky theoretical nonesense, that has no link to any poll that it references.

It's a 3 way race, get over it.

If he won't answer the question, I will: I'd prefer a close conservative win (or a not-close one, for that matter) over a cakewalk by a moderate/liberal.

Of course, the poll leading off the thread doesn't exactly support McClintock's ability to win in the race that's actually being run, a race that DOES include Schwarzenegger. (And even if Schwarzenegger weren't an option, and IF he didn't have hundreds of thousands of absentee votes already in the bag, the poll sill is only a statistical dead heat between McC and Cruz.)
