I don't know if La Fountaine ever wrote a book.
I had read the story in the Dallas Morning News when she found the arrest record and later there was a story on the internet with the niece's interview.
The conspiracy theorists made a big deal out of hoboes wearing new shoes. The three tramps had gone to a homeless shelter after some shoe manufacturer had dropped off a shipment as a donation.

LaFountain is a Native American stone sculptor named Bruce. The couple is Ray and Mary La Fontaine, the title
Oswald Talked, Pelican, 1996.
They have Doyle, Abrams and Holt, but they don't have the three tramps photographed in custody of two Dallas officers in Dealey Plaza.
Those three were released that day; Doyle Abrams and Holt were held over the weekend.
Case not closed.
