Huh? I'm not sure what your post has to do with this. But anyway. I rented a Taurus w/ antilock breaks and had the fun of driving it on plowed, but snow covered, roads for a week last Christmas. Fun! I think it does work pretty well. Maybe not as in control as a good driver working the breaks properly but even when you Mash the pedal you tend to stop in bit. And you maintain steering, which is key.
I think it's a plus in bad weather driving, particularly in panic situation, for inexperienced drivers and young drivers.

As with most threads they start out, change somewhat and then back to the original topic. It was about Colorado's "new" drivers. My point, granted not clear, was that when you combine 4wd with traction control and anti-skid technologies the idiot behind the wheel thinks they are impervious to the laws of physics and Colorado winters. Especially new transplants from California. Call it a false sense of security. I have to think that without all that technology a person drives more conservatively in bad weather. Then again, maybe not.
