The more liberals that leave Cal and head to Colorado is a good thing. They'll love the coming winter......

The first thing they do is buy a big ole Excursion, then preceed to hit every available thing on (and off) the road during the first snow. One can be practically assured that the SUV going by you at 70 mph in a snowstorm is going to have California plates...

"He (Hanson) says when he grew up in the nearby San Joaquin Valley, the majority of the population were Mexican immigrants who had become Americans and who made a genuine effort to become "acculturated" and to assimilate into mainstream American society.
Hanson believes that type of immigration established a healthy pattern for all concerned. "When people came from Mexico in numbers that were smaller and would allow greater chance for assimilation -- along with legalities so that they didn't live in the shadows of society -- they were less likely to be exploited by employers, they were more likely to vote, and they were more likely to learn English," he says.
But now, the professor says, thanks to uncontrolled immigration, the region's population is composed mostly of illegal aliens who live in separate communities, isolated from mainstreaming influences."

My family's lived in California for over 120 years, and I agree with Hanson. The borders are a federal issue being ignored by the federal government. The problems become the state's and cannot be ignored.

I could careless about CA. they deserve just what they are getting

Deported illegals return, steal same jobs September 22, 2003 -- A small company in Canton, Georgia (30 miles north of Atlanta) was recently raided by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Twenty five illegal aliens were apprehended and deported to Mexico. Within a week and a half, all were back on the job with phony IDs and SS #s.

Owners of the firm threatened legal American workers with reprisal if they reported the violations to law enforcement. The company is Japanese owned.

Illegals flooding into Chicago

9/4/03 -- On Tuesday, September 2, passengers were not allowed to immediately deplane when their flight from Phoenix landed in Chicago. BICE found 89 illegal aliens on board the flight. Most were from Mexico. Officials in Chicago say that it's likely that about 1,000 illegals arrive in the Windy City daily using the airlines.

No use running I think. The decline is rapid and there is little in the way to stop it wherever you live. It is my prediction that CA. will suffer a meltdown and require a Federal bailout, but then again I think Tom Chittum's thesis that CA is the flashpoint for "Civil War II" so what do I know.

Things are heating up in Georgia

Atlanta -- 8/27/03 -- 7:10 am PDT -- A construction contractor reports that Latino workers in and around Atlanta are becoming very militant. They are angry over increased immigration law enforcement, and claim harassment by blacks. Urged on by Spanish language media, including pirate stations, they are planning civil disobedience... or worse.

What are we, about 2 to 3 weeks away from the first bumper car event on I25 and I70? Especially all those new car like SUV's with "traction control" and "anti-skid" technology - right off the road and into the ditch at 70 mph on snow/ice.

About 35 of my relatives still live there and most of them are VERY liberal and think Davis is doing just fine, it's all Bush's fault. There is no way to convince them of anything else, even as they pay outrageous taxes and fees and bills and hear about Davis's inept, corrupt leadership. They blame those stories on the vast right wing! They won't leave ever, they love the state.

I love the state too, and I stand to the right of Bush. Your in Arizona? Isn't that were they are legalizing illegals too? I'd rather fight a political fight in California, then live in the blazing brutal desert of Arizona.....No offense.

Oh, and your relatives sound like certified idiots.

Maybe they need to have a chat with the KKK!

Why, because some in Georgia have had it with illegal aliens?

DOH!

I think a chat with President Bush and Tom Ridge would be a little more appropriate. Don't you?

No offense taken. We left with job transfers over a decade ago. But there are some nice things about Arizona (we have forests too), and we just bought a summer home on a lake in the Seattle area! Some of my relatives fit your description well...certifed idiots!
Many people would certainly commend you for staying and "fighting a political battle". We do have more illegals in terms of percentages, there is sadly real truth in that. And now a corrupt governor too. California IS a beautiful place! And generally the real leader of the country in lots of great ways. I did not intend to insult my former home state, if that was your impression.

.....if everyone's leaving California, how come they're building thousands of new houses? Go 25 miles north of Los Angeles and it looks completely different than it did 5 years ago because of all the new houses and shopping malls that have been built recently......and they can't build them fast enough because new developments are still in the design and construction stages.......

got to love liberals, when the going gets tuff... the liberals run for the hills

Watch it there bucko!

The liberals have created the problem in California and actually are arranging for more of the same.
In the face of a remarkable deficit the legislature continues to spend like drunken sailors. And the moron voters continue to elect and re-elect them.

So... what leads you to think they would want to leave?
Me? I have lived here all my life and am on the list of refugees first chance I get. And trust me, liberalism and "progressive" BS is the least of my interests.

My point is what ever is happening in Cal, is happening just about everywhere. From lack of jobs to the invasion of illegals. It's hard to escape unless one plans on going to the middle of no where. Most people can't or don't want to do that.

Smart move on the summer home......

This is great news. Nevada or Kansas would be a great place for them.
