Nixon and Ford were strong supporters of abortion too. Ford appointed the pro-abortion John Paul Stevens of IL to the Supreme Court.

Ron Panzer during his radio interview on highway2health.net this evening, strongly encouraged everyone to write letters (emails) to Jeb Bush and plead with him to intervene to save Terris life.

I contacted my legislator's local office this morning and requested on behalf of thousands of Americans that Terri gets a special session and/or an independent GAL. I also indicated that time was short and that in case Judge Lazzara rules against Terri, we would hope that the legislators and governor would intervene at that point.

Finally, I said this wasn't just about Terri and that it was far reaching.

Florida freepers, your local legislator is in your phone book in the front. Check out your voter i.d. card for your district and please give them a call. They need to hear from us NOW, not after October 10th. Thanks in advance... freeparoundtheclock

It may be that Jeb Bush WOULD intervene for Terri if he knew what he could legally do. This is not like pardoning a convicted murderer, which he has the power to do. The governor apparently has no power to spare a disabled person from starvation. The POTUS (President of the United States) can "pardon" a Thanksgiving turkey. But there is
"no room" in American life in 2003 for the disabled in FL. Isn't this country fading fast? Even with all our conveniences and extended life spans, America appears on the verge of losing its soul. It won't even let parents take a disabled adult daughter home for care -- would rather kill her instead!!!!

Well, I checked the St. Pete Times right now, and I can't find it. I am sad to report, I don't think it is true.
I'm going to bed. Depressed.

How can Bush intervene with an amicus curiae brief at odds with that filed by Crist? Crist is technically siding with the Greer-Schiavo-Felos forces against the Schindlers on what is called "the merits."

Crist filed an amicus brief re: Fla's statutes but I wasn't aware that Gov. Bush intervened. If you have something breaking today, Tuesday, PLEASE ADVISE. Local news has been silent this a.m.

What's up? I called Legislator Leslie Wilson yesterday morning. Hopefully, others called their's. The GOP legislators are in touch with Gov. Bush as part of their job. Is this Crist's amicus brief or did Jeb do one?

YOU ARE 100% WRONG, Teddy R. PLEASE DON'T TELL PEOPLE STUFF THAT IS INACCURATE.

Charlie Crist DID NOT FILE A BRIEF ARGUING "THE MERITS OF THE CASE". He came on local tv and said specifically that he "was not going to intervene re: the merits of the case". Thanks.

I have nothing on Jeb Bush filing anything. It was noted that he filed a brief last night at approx. 9:30 p.m. I have no confirmation on that. I need to go to K Mart AGAIN to buy some more paint. Bay News 9 is not reporting anything new this morning - same old drivel about Terri being in a PVS (which is not true).

I hope that helps. Everyone, please just hang in there.

Glenn Beck is on but it's about California this morning.

If I hear anything SOLID, I'll be back later and post it here.

You are correct. He is arguing for the "constitutionality of the law," not the merits of the Schindler case. My error.

Husband seeks suit's dismissal

The lawsuit filed by Terri Schiavo's parents seeks to stop the removal of her feeding tube.
By Associated Press

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TAMPA - The husband of a brain-damaged woman who is at the center of a long-running legal battle asked a judge Monday to dismiss a federal lawsuit against him designed to block removal of her feeding tube later this month.

A judge has ordered that the feeding tube keeping Terri Schiavo alive will be removed Oct. 15. After exhausting appeals in state court, Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, sued Michael Schiavo in federal court, seeking his removal as his wife's legal guardian. A hearing on the suit is set for Friday.

Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, filed a motion Monday asking the judge to either dismiss the Schindlers' suit or rule against them, calling their action "yet another attempt to find another forum to relitigate what has been litigated many times before."

Felos' motion also disputes the Schindlers' claims that Michael Schiavo blocked attempts to rehabilitate his wife.

Terri Schiavo, 39, suffered severe brain damage after a 1990 heart attack and remains in what doctors call a "persistent vegetative state." A state circuit court judge ordered the removal of her feeding tube last month in the long-running legal battle between her husband and her parents.

Michael Schiavo contends his wife had said she would not want to be kept alive artificially. The Schindlers think their daughter responds to them and could recover with therapy.

The Schindlers' attorney, Pat Anderson, declined comment.

Thanks for the clarification. I agree that this is hard to follow, wouldn't we all agree? But we're still helping Terri, that's so important.

I don't think Jeb filed anything imo.

So hubby files a Motion to Dismiss the federal action. No surprise. If this gets to the federal level, that could take months. Remember hubby said "When's the bitch gonna die?"

Terri and her thousands of supporters are ruining his evil plans.

I'm still not concerned. We must keep helping Terri. There will be a flurry of filings every day now as both parties try to stay one step ahead of the other.

Dear Friends,
Breaking News!

On Oct 6, 2003, a motion was filed by Governor Jeb Bush to appear and be heard as amicus curiae on behalf of Theresa Schindler Schiavo. In his statement, the Governor states he has a "strong interest in insuring that Theresa Schiavo's right to life is not deprived without due process of law..." The governor wishes to appear and be heard "on the issue of the critical distinction between removing artificial life support and the deliberate killing of a human by starvation and dehydration, and whether the latter constitutes the deprivation of Plaintiff's life..." Copies of the statement were made available to all parties concerned. Governor Bush's office has received over 40,000 emails expressing concern over the Terri Schiavo case.

and...More!
The Catholic Media Coalition, of which Mission Sun and The Catholic Advocate are members, is proud to announce their web site: http://www.catholicmediacoalition.com Please visit us and read the very latest on the Terri Schiavo case. Please also thank Governor Bush for his valiant pro-life stand in defense of life!
