Though the incident reportedly took place four days ago, Sen. Kerry has had no comment on Moby's use of the "F"-word in reference to the President of the United States. The Democrats of my parents generation no longer exist

'Walk on the Wild Side' (besides being lame) doesn't sound like a very politically correct song. Did Kerry sing the part "and the colored girls sing"?
Democrats are a bunch of phoney bigots.
The press should ask Kerry what his black constituents think of his cool song.

Moby would be alot easier to understand if he would remove his surname from his mouth.

After the Dems turned Wellstone's memorial service into a campaign rally, nothing surprises me.

Why does Bush seem to be alienated his base now, as the Democrats become more brazen in their attempts to discredit and destroy him? Without a happy base, 5 million conservatives could sit out the 2004 presidential election, and Bush can therefore return to tiny Crawford, TX.

Well .. the democrats have taken the Hill and Bill hatred to a new level.
This will cost them - BIG TIME!
And .. if they don't stop it - there will be a wholesale slaughter of the democrat party in 2004.

This is nothing new from Kerry. In 1971 he headed a few "war protests" in his role as head of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW). Because they couldn't find enough combat veterans who would denounce the military and the other veterans, most of the "veterans" at the Washington Moratorium and at Jane Fonda's "Winter Soldier Investigation" in Detroit were not veterans at all, just odds and ends of the left.
The VVAW later became the VVAW-AI (Anti-Imperialist), an overtly Marxist organisation.
Those protests, with their phony veterans, featured the same kind of threadbare street theatre that we are now seeing in the Kerry campaign. In 1971, Kerry said stuff like "War Criminal Nixon is not President." Now we have a potty-mouthed musical nonentity doing it for him.

As the duo perfomed Reed's classic "Walk on the Wild Side," Kerry "froze," according to the New York Daily News, when Moby reached one particularly obscene portion of the song. The subject matter is risque, but the language isn't technically "obscene". On the other hand, I can't imagine what dimwit considered this fitting for a political fundraiser:
Lou Reed
Transformer (1972)
Walk On The Wild Side
Holly came from Miami, Fla
Hitchhiked her way across the USA.
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her leg and then he was she - she said:
Hey Babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
Candy came from out on the island,
In the backroom she was everybodys darling,
But she never lost her head
Even when she was given head - she said
Hey Babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
And the coloured girls go, doo dodoo
Little Joe never once gave it away,
Ev'rybody had to pay and pay.
A hustle here and a hustle there
New York city is no place where they said:
Hey Babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
Sugar plum fairy came and hit the streets
Looking for soul food and a place to eat
Went to the Apollo, you should have seen him go go go - they said:
Hey Sugar, take a walk on the wild side,
Said hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
Jackie is just speeding away,
Thought she was James Dean for a day
Then I guess she had to crash,
Valium would have helped that bash - she said:
Hey Sugar, take a walk on the wild side,
Said hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
And the coloured girls go, doo dodoo
On the other hand, maybe it *is* oddly appropriate for a Democratic candidate these days...
And yes, Dire Straits covered this song as well.

It would be interesting to see what
this liberal commentator, lamenting the loss of" civil political debate" would say about that!
