>>Islam is not like other religions.
Worth saying again.
Since shortly after 9/11, after more study of what is going on and the history, I came to this conclusion:
We're dealing with an evil, totalitarian, dictatorial, murderous political system masquerading as a religion. It is simply not a "religion" as we, and most of the rest of the non-Muslim world, thinks of a "religion".
I really, really hope that Bush and crew don't really believe this "peaceful, friendly Muslims" line, and that it is used simply because, at the highest levels, there has been a conscious decision to use that line in order to not enrage large numbers of middle-of-the-road Islamics.
There are a large number of secular Muslims with whom we could coexist - but they must be very secular. And anyone who goes back to the roots becomes an enemy immediately. And regarding the secular Muslims, we can say, paradoxically, the only good Muslim is a bad Muslim.

"the only good Muslim is a bad Muslim" That expression has a great deal of resonance to it. Possibly enough to merit proud display on peoples' bumpers, and at least a tag line or two.
Might want to copyright that. :^)

While I agree, who in the Bush administration, or, for that matter, here in the US, is willing to be the one to take the next logical step and put in an order to Dow for a supply of Zyclon-B pesticide?
While I am sure everyone would be deeply torn, Israel included, it would cut down on chances for another 9-11...

A so-called Religion as a Trojan Horse, its really a political movement:
Mr. Griffin has made a study of Islam and finds it to be not a religion, in the sense of requiring some sort of moral response from the believer, but rather a tendency, in the political sense of a faction contesting for power.
The Koran, which he likens to "the Talmud on angel dust," instructs believers living in "infidel" nations to lay low until they reach about 10 percent of the population; then they may attack and disrupt the sinful host society with a better chance of ultimate takeover.............http://www.hvk.org/articles/1101/168.html
