The Pentagon will likely hold most of them until the war on terrorism is over. So I guess they'll be letting them go Real Soon Now(tm). Yeah, like the war is going to end in a few months, years or generations to come.

I too noticed that little ray of sunshine at the end of the story. I don't expect this war to be over in my lifetime, so it's nice to think that the roaches in this motel are never going to check out!
