Anything is possible, I suppose. And what you describe would certainly be a possibility. But, I have to say I think it is unlikely.

More likely, in my opinion, was that the West Point Protective Association went to bat for him and assured everyone concerned that there was no way a "ring-knocker" could be a serious risk -- regardless of his new religious affiliation.

I guess I'm just hoping that our military is actually smart about things and not PC. No telling.
