Much of Reagan's victory has been squandered, deliberately, by the Democratic Left. Communism is still slaughtering millions around the globe, still entrenched 90 miles from Key West, still actively subverting our government and judicial system, still thriving in our universities, public schools, unions and media. It is the political embodiment of evil, and will exist for as long as men with fatal flaws come into positions of power. The fight is ongoing. It didn't end with President Reagan.
I'm not sure why you take such exception to the comparison of California to the Soviet Union. When the conditions in California begin to resemble that of a third-world country -- as the Soviet Union did -- the people of California will have the option to stand up and change it. That's where the comparison ends, obviously. The Russians didn't have that option. Ronald Wilson Reagan gave it to them, bless his soul.
My point is that it's going to take an unmitigated disaster to open the majority of Californians' eyes. I believe that. You don't. Big deal, grown ups disagree all the time. This nation did not, NOT come anywhere near close to a bloody Civil War during the Clinton reign of terror and infamy.
I was referring to the 2000 election. It was often referred to a "political civil war". See what happens the next time the Democrats pull the same stunt (and they will. They most definitely will).
That discussion has been beaten to death, for years, newbie...
I'm not as new as you might think, but if you believe saying it gives you the upper hand, go for it.
The USSR wasn't a " third world country " and that's just for starters! Please learn the deffinition of terms, prior to using them.
California is about as socialistic, as France lite.
No one, NO ONE has said that Communism ended with the Cold War, nor that Reagan eviserated it utterly. That little delusion exists solely in your own mind. Try to comprehend the written word and stop seeing that which is not posted.
The 2000 election was far from even the opening shots, of a Civil War. All that was, was Republicans finally taking the white gloves off. You haven't a clue...buy some. ;^)
Yes, adults can disagree. They should also be able to comprehend the written word, with far less difficulty than you've shown you have. This isn't politics 101, some high school history class, nor even a discussion with one's peers. For the most part, FR is a rough and tumble group of people, who are far and away more well informed, better read, and knowledgeable, than the rea;l world. That you sound as though you've just come into the light, so to speak, doesn't mean that I have. Calm down, think before posting, and don't assume that only YOU know what's what. LOL
California will NEVER " turn around ", unless its populace is dragged, kicking and screaming, into the right direction. That can and shall happen, with Arnold; however, he is only the camel's nose under the tent' a step in the right direction.
Should Cruz win, then more and more and more people, who make that state work at all, will leave. The majority of those who stay, will be crushed/continue to make it a disaster/demand more and more and more impossible perks.
Oh ... a retred are you ? And WHY were you banned ?
