Puff piece written by Arnold supporter and Freeper, now masquerading as Journalist. As usual, he has difficulty with facts.
LOL at all the cheerleader comments. You people have no idea the NEGATIVE effect you are having on voters.

Oh, I'm well aware that posters like strela aren't going to bow to reason or fact. Every one of my posts to him is a bank shot to those readers who are receptive to fact and reason. I have a clear duty to counter the kinds of lies that are being advanced by him and others about McClintock.

Thankyou! And let's include Arnold in our prayers, so that he may someday realize that people should be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Let's see. McClintock accepts $1M from an Indian gambling interest (were there any strings attached?). McClintock also decides to boycott the debate on the 24th.
I think Tom should debate Mr. S. on the 24th. Bad move on his part.
AFA the dollars are concerned, I'd accept $1M from EMILY's list if it were offered, and continue to vote on principle. They wouldn't offer it again, but why not use dollars from the Left to defeat them?

Kinda looks like that famous red-blue map of the 2000 Presidential election, doesn't it?

Here's some interesting history re: Morongo contributions:
Los Angeles Times - January 11, 2002
"[Gray] Davis received $100,000 each from Univision Chairman Jerry Perenchio, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, Beverly Hills-based developer Casden Properties and screenwriter Stephen Bing. The governor's campaign also collected $50,000 or more from development, biotech, construction, investment, insurance, oil and cable television companies."
More interesting is the contribution from Jerry Perenchio,
currently one of Schwarzenegger's Advisors.

And some Republicans - as I believe many here on FR - ARE conservative. My point is that, WHETHER OR NOT McCLINTOCK IS IN IT FOR HIMSELF, perhaps the blame for "dividing the GOP" can be as easily placed on the liberal Republican as the conservative. Arnold is taking votes from McClintock just as the reverse is true.
To: Robert_Paulson2
And it's OK to do all that in the name if their political ideology.
I don't see the difference between them, and the Dems.

The mindset of these so-called "conservatives" is dogma over people.
The fact they are all missing here, is that there is a mandate from the people of California to remove the current governor and replace him.
These "conservatives" are trying to steal the work done by the people of California, their attitude is either elect my guy, minority candidate or not, or screw the mandate.
They simply do not believe that people can govern themselves, they believe that they know better, and that people should not be allowed to elect their own candidates.
They do not believe in the system the Founders set in place, and raise their political ideology above that system. Ironically, they try to sell that by calling themselves "constitutionalists".

In recent days, Tom McClintock, the "other Republican" in California's recall race, has accepted a million dollars spent on his behalf by a left-wing special interest group. He has claimed that a Democrat victory in the recall election would be desirable, as it would better his chances in 2006. And he has joined with Democrat Cruz Bustamante in a boycott against fellow Republican, Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is the man we're supposed to believe represents the conscience of conservatism? At the end of the day, Tom McClintock's Faustian Pact with the Left has made one thing clear - it's all about Tom McClintock.
No real resemblance, but this statement reminded me of this guy ! ...
It's always about ME !
Has anyone else noticed how FEW pics there are available of McClintock on Google Image Search ??
