the quagmire in Iraq

I think we may be behind on that word; today I'm positive I heard a new "buzzword" that the liberals are using to describe the word........and for the life of me, I can't remember what it was.....I heard it in three different reports and it was all about the Kennedy remarks.

It may have been "a brewing disaster" or something close to that, but it struck me right off that this is their new "talking point" and I made a mental note to see how many times I heard it on the weekend shows just to confirm to myself that they have moved on to the next number on their "We Want the Power Back and We'll say whatever it takes to get it back" agenda.

The words would be: "Miserable failure". The sad thing is that the media elite actually think that they speak for us, the unwashed, by making a position for us. Namely, anti-American, anti-war, and counter-productive efforts, the likes of which I've seen in the last few days surrounding this hurricane.

Everytime we Americans come together they are apoplectic. It happened post- 9-11, it happened post-Afghanistan, it happened post-Iraq, and it's happening post-hurricane.

If you look at it from the perspective of anti-Americanism it all makes sense. From Horowitz to the Daily Standard; if they don't come together, they're pulling us apart. Despite our natural impulses to take care of each other.

Americans aren't defined by soundbites or voting trends; we're defined by our actions. And in the course of disasters we're quite clear: we don't need the hot air, we just need solutions. And if you don't offer solutions, we'll just do it ourselves. But don't expect votes for hollow words after the heavy lifting has been done.

You take care .
