94% of people in Tidewater area with no power, 49% of DC metro area, 82% overall. Dominion Power says it's the worst storm in their 100 year history.
My guess is that they don't really have a clue yet as to the damage in the mountains, places you can only get to by driving on miles of dirt road, now blocked by dozens, if not hundreds, of downed trees.

I don't envy the customers of Dominion power. nor their line crews.
But in order to inteject a bit of levity - I did lose my power this evening after the flickering!!!
but as I have said about the entire situation - I am very fortunate compared to many. I was inconvenienced for a bit of time - so what.
