The muslims NEVER defeated ROME and they know it.
They took over Constantinople only because about 65 years before they were able to defeat the Serbs at Kosovo. Then, they were able to surround the Greeks and use Serbian conscripts( Janisseries)against them.
However, the muslims were so deflated right after their victory over the Serbs that the Hungarians, Poles and others were able to stop their advance into the heart of Europe a couple of years later.
