My sister lives in Smithfield, VA. She is insisting that she'll be fine but I'm worried. She's originally from Pittsburgh and has no experience with what may happen.

Smithfield, Isle of Wight County and Franklin and that whole surrounding are flooded pretty badly from Floyd. Hope she knows where the creeks are and what her position is relative to them, but I'm sure if she's been there any length of time she's gotten the scoop from the locals. She should be ok. Hurricane Floyd caught alot of people off guard, but it taught a lot of lessons too.
