The Chief Financial Officer of the University of Florida Foundation is charged with four counts of theft. University Police say Kenneth Hillier, 56, of Jacksonville, wrote four checks from the Foundation to himself totaling $700,000.
Hillier was arrested by University Police Tuesday morning and booked into the Alachua County Jail.
According to an arrest report obtained by WCJB TV-20 News, Hillier, whose official title is Assistant Vice President for Administration-Finance, wrote at least four checks to himself from foundation funds.
The checks were written in October, 2002, and July, August and September, 2003, endorsed by Hillier, and deposited into his personal bank account.
The four checks total $700,000. The most recent was written on September 12 for $228,631.

As if putting a crocodile instead of an alligator on the media guide wasn't bad enough. Oh well, we'll just have to settle for watching the Gators dine on some Volunteer meat this Saturday.

He was just doing "research". He was trying to become Henry VIII?

dfwgator, i'm guessing your in Dallas. I'm in Houston. I'd like to move to Dallas or Austin. Too humid here. Man, did that Miami game just kill you or what. It would have been much better(for me anyway) if it was just a blow out from the get-go. Blowing a 33-10 lead was punishing.

Did he gamble it all away or can he make restitution? Please ping me if he blew most of it on gambling. That's my "bet".
FL is chock full of gamblers where I live. Indian casinos and more fun and games.

Actually I live in Flower Mound, which is just north of DFW Airport.
Uggh! that Miami game; it was bad enough having to endure "The Choke at Doak," now this!!! However, I choose to look at the bright side, a young talented team learned some very valuable lessons from the Miami game, and I think that they are only going to get better as the season progresses. At the beginning of the year, I thought we would lose 5 games, now I think we've got a shot at taking the SEC. Next year, watch out!!!

Blame it on the heat or humidity.

As the product of a California State University (Long Beach, Go 'Niners!), I was surprised I saw the mispelling.
