Things are combative in Fresno, Calif., this week after the city's Human Relations Commission issued a press release describing "the Free Republic" as a "hate group" and warning of plans for a "Free Republic Hate Rally Picnic."

The Free Republic is a news Web site operated by Jim Robinson of Fresno, described as "an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the Web."

"When intolerance comes to the table, we need to answer that call"

Well, like they say, you can't teach an old dog to make a silk purse out of a pig in a poke.

I'm not sure who exactly says that, but if anyone really does, I suspect strong narcotics.

Autry sought to suspend the commission, but under the city charter, the City Council controls the commission's budget, estimated at $193,100 this fiscal year.

Hey you Fresno taxpayers! Is your tax money being well spent? You should be demanding some value for your hard earned money.

And the big "hate rally" itself?

According to the Bee: "About a dozen people met at Shaw and Blackstone avenues Friday. They listened to country music, waved American flags and held signs asking drivers to honk their horns if they support U.S. soldiers."

This is what the left hates. They cannot stand anyone that listens to country music, waves American flags or supports U.S. soldiers. Remember, they are happy when things go bad for the U.S.

Mr. Autry called the commission's news release "inflammatory, reckless, irresponsible and dangerous," adding that "these comments are not a reflection of the city of Fresno."

This is ABSOLUTELY true!! Good to see this man trying to keep things right down the middle. The news release she wrote looked like something from DUhhh, it was so obviously partisan.

But...

Many of the comments about Muslims (NOT radical muslims) and Homosexuals here are very overly "Hateful".

The same is true with some comments about Christians and Republicans. We "hate" everybody.

Mrs. Reyes said she had has seen evidence that the Free Republic was "antigay and anti-immigration."

So to fit Mrs. Reyes implied definition of a tolerant group, FR should celebrate when someone turns out to be suffering the affliction of homosexuality and pass out balloons at the border to all those that sneak across.

Not the way all of Islam and anything to do with homosexuality are both treated. Not even close.

"When intolerance comes to the table, we need to answer that call," she said.

How ironic is this statement?

Suppose intolerance just rings the doorbell or drives by honking its horn? Can we tolerate it then?

If it does come to the table, do we have to use the good china, or can we get by with the plastic cups?

I want to see this video of JustAmy, the hate monger. LOL! This is so hilarious!! Here we are, a bunch of grandmas and grandpas, moms and dads, and young folks - patriots all - who support the troops and the HRC calls us a "hate group". It's so funny, isn't it? I looked at those pictures of us at the tailgate "hate picnic". We look like a bunch of flag-waving apple-pie eating Americans having a good time at a BBQ, which is exactly what we are. LOL!!!!

Yep. It's the public political community equivalent of FALSELY accusing someone of child molestation or incest. People saw the damage that could be done with such slung barbs during the McMartin Preschool "trial"/idiotic fiasco (with no need for any basis in TRUTH) and have been trying to match it since.... Completely innocent? Completely clean? Well, guess what! It doesn't matter. Your life can be made pure misery on a whim. The various media and the public realm of expectations allows for the full germination of such treachery.

The new personal sized weapon of mass destruction
