5pm discussion out...noted weakening has ended..at least temporarily...no deep convection....


the convection is the key......until some fires up and wraps around...no strengthening will occur.

It looks like the hurricane is becoming more organized though. She's becoming more symetrical.

SOmething that caught my attention in the discussion -- Latest Hurricane Hunter picked up 111KT sustained wind in the NE Quadrant. They have not upped the overall intensity because it was only in one quadrant.

Still, the outflow has improved, pressure has stabalized, shear has diminished, and Aircraft radar is picking up eyewall formation. Add it all together and it spells reintensification, and she is entering even more favorable conditions. Not to mention she still has the gulf stream to cross.

I will continue to maintain Isabel is the next Hugo/Hazel, and she will be a cat III when she makes landfall.
