Nothing to weaken it in its path; and the Gulf Stream may just strengthen it.
Look at this:

You're not out of the woods on this. Tomorrow's track may be a couple hundred miles different from today's forecast.

There appears to be some sort of front crossing the midwest right now. Does anyone know if it is moving and what's behind it?
That one that came through a few weeks ago passed off shore, caught fabian, and guided it safely up the atlantic hitting nobody except for Bermuda. I guess they don't think that could happen again.

Yep the Gulf Stream comes in right off the other banks and is a wide open area for it to strenghen.

The structures at these two places will probably get wiped off the map as well as the islands themselves receiving a face lift, maybe a new inlet or two.

Needless to say, my Friday trip to Portsmouth has been cancelled.

Look at that eye! It is a big eye, which does not allow for it to strengthen much...and may help it weaken some, but probably not a lot.
