I was terrified on 9/11 until my husband reminded me our soldiers would keep us safe. We owe them everything.

And pray for the continued wisdom of our wonderful administration and leaders.

might not belong here, but I feel like posting it anyway...wrote it a little while ago-

Evening in Arlington

as the last note waifs away,
and the wind dies down,
there is one solemn moment,
held forever between sorrow and hope,
surrounded by silence…

and our grief for those gone
becomes a brush-
we paint our pain onto this suspended canvas,
so we may see them once more,
before they fade forever into the evening mist…

before some sound stirs this field to eternal flight-
still we might remember-
“as we go, this we know, God is near…”
