NYT's Thomas L. Friedman Reports: Crossfire Is On Al-Jazeera
Discovery Channel ^ | Sept. 10, at 10 p.m. ET/PT (re-run) | Thomas L. Friedman

Just watched Thomas L. Friedman in his special for the Discovery Channel, "Thomas L. Friedman Reporting: Searching for the Roots of 9/11".

Very early in it, he's talking to some high school students in Qatar that attend the high school academy associated with the Cornell Medical School of Qatar. In his opening and again later exchanges, he speaks of how he will be a guest later that day on "Crossfire" at Al-Jazeera. When they get to that part of the special, the actual name of the Al-Jazeera show is "The Opposite View".

Do you think it was Carville or Begala that made him think Crossfire was an Al-Jazeera production?

Perhaps putting Crossfire on Al-Jazerra is the cure for the rating curse that is Carville and Begala.

In case you'd like to see it for yourself, "Thomas L. Friedman Reporting: Searching for the Roots of 9/11" repeats on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

BTW, he does a good job of standing up for America, especially on Al-Jazerra and later when an Egyptian colege student mouths off with some "slogans" she's memorized. You can see her discomfort when Freidman calmly refutes her.

Not bad. It's hard to believe that this guy works for the same paper as Maureen Dowd.

Friedman writes like a girl.

He needs to put on a pair of pants and accept the fact that the Arafat and the Israelis are not "morally equivalent" to each other.

Maureen "It's not my fault that most liberal women are ugly" Dowd?

I can't believe she has a column at all, shrill has been that she is. She runs out the same tired old platitudes, and somehow manages to hang onto a job that she lost qualification for a long time ago, which is probably why she is such a staunch supporter of affirmative action for women.

If Friedman actually believes that they are morally equivalent, then he must know a lot about Ariel Sharon.
