I have been thinking about something...perhaps we've been trying to affect real change the wrong way. We always look to change things, or elected rep's, from the top.
I was wondering if it might not be a better strategy if we conservatives focus our efforts mostly at the local and/or state level? Maybe we need to establish local roots, then grow out & up from that point.
It just still strikes me as very strange that so many folks, good, decent folks, have no rhyme nor reason of what's going on that directly, or indirectly, affects their lives.
We conservatives won the ideological battle long ago. Now we just have to get our friends & neighbors to quit working all those hours...worrying about their children's education...wondering how Mom will make do with spiraling drug cost.......we conservatives need to quit preachin', start actin', and own up to the fact that people we've elected are not getting the job done.
Ya know, it's not us that need to be reminded, but our elected rep's, of a little speech given some years ago.

Dubya has campaign posters depicting himself & RR. Dubya had better start owning up to that privledge.
So? How many of you can honestly admit you're pleased with the current administration in the White House?
This country of ours survived 8 years of the Clintons, it can withstand 4 or 8 more...though it may very well go thru living Hell doing so.
Ronald Reagan handed us the map...it's only our fault if it's course isn't followed.
