I like Dubyuh, but my unadulterated profession of "love" was done somewhat tongue-in-cheek. And, yes, I love Jesus Christ, too...MUD
Dubyuh's actions regarding domestic policy to date give credence to yer doubts, but he's got five years to prove US wrong in that regard...MUD
I'll tell ya, there's some interesting elections being held around here too sultan, and KY's gov is the one to watch for us.
Will KY elect yet another 'Rat on the heels of the Patton scandel; or, will the primarily blue collar constituents finally see the light?
Even the race for *Mayor* in Evansville has turned into a HUGE mud fight due in no small part to the 'Rat candidate wannabe they've affectionately nicknamed, "Taxapple." {g}
A cute play on words based on his last name, Weisaple {sp?}, for his horrendous tax & spend track record as a state representative.
...while he served in Indianapolis.
Everybody, listen up. Adsimp wants to host the upcoming Redtablemeeeting!!
It's a block or two from Bottom's up Pizza.
Next dry day I can walk by there to scope it out.
"The running game has been unproductive, the pass rush inconsistent, the coverage shaky and the punting of sophomore Tom Hagan bordering on disastrous. Thats not a good formula for winning the month, but this Virginia team always is full of surprises."
Next three games are HUGH...MUD
Twerps and GT, no problem.
BTW (and this is the opinion from a die-hard Hokie coworker who was there, which, IM[not so]HO, in retrospect is true), it was the VT D and special teams that rolled over Mimi, their O sucked.
Look for another shoot out like the NCState game, which really could have gone either way, give or take a couple of plays and calls.
As for Hagan, if we don't have to punt, his incompetence will be a non-issue.
Keep the Faith!
Always and ferever...I'm actually quite pleased with the direction Groh's got us headed, just seems like all the close ones we won last year are going against us this year. Oh well, if we win the next three, we'll get a purty nice bowl bid.

BTW...I sees myself in that there stadium picture: just left of the far 10-yard-line, 6 rows up, hollerin' like a Banshee...LOL!!!

The Year is 1904
Maybe this will boggle your mind, The year is 1904 . One hundred years ago. What a difference a century makes! Here are some of the US statistics for 1904:
The average life expectancy in the US was 47 years.
Only 14% of the homes in the US had a bathtub.
Only 8% of the homes had a telephone.
A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost $11.00
There were only 8,000 cars in the US, and only 144 miles of paved roads.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million residents, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union.
The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower.
The average wage in the US was 22 cents an hour.
The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year.
A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year.
A veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year.
A mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.
More than 95 percent of all births in the US took place at home.
Ninety percent of all US physicians had no college education. Instead, they attended medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press and by the government as "substandard."
Sugar cost four cents a pound. Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.
Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used borax or egg yolks for shampoo.
Canada passed a law prohibiting poor people from entering the country for any reason.
The five leading causes of death in the US were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke
The population of Las Vegas, Nevada, was 30!
Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced tea hadn't been invented.
There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.
Two of 10 US adults couldn't read or write. Only 6% of all Americans had graduated high school.
Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at corner drugstores. According to one pharmacist, "Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health." (Shocking!)
Eighteen percent of households in the US had at least one full-time servant or domestic.
There were only about 230 reported murders in the entire US.
And I forwarded this from someone else without typing it myself, and sent it to you in a matter of seconds! Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years ... it staggers the mind.

Merry Festivus! and a happy Rama-dama-ding-kwanza-hannukah-dong.
poet's "Freedom"
Our forefathers knew so well
that slavery is a living hell
so they set out to be free
to make this a land of liberty
It took awhile to get it right
did it cause the North and South to fight?
even then we were not all free
on that we can all agree
We were warned to be vigilant and wise
for enemies will come in disguise
our freedom their lives have bought
beware! beware! of alien thought
We were fortunate to have such men
as Franklin, Henry and Jefferson
Washington, Lincoln, John Hancock
those of Boston at the dock
Ah, liberty! What a delicious word
they pursuit was superb
their honor was not for sale
proof of that was Nathan Hale
There were others who guided our way
against those "who are beasts of prey
never before in the history of man
were all men free in a single land
