Around my community the majority of the children in the public schools are lactose intolerant.Don't you find a problem with that? Mankind has been drinking milk since the dawn of time yet only now we've developed lactose intolerance. Kind of goes along with all the other recent rises in asthma, peanut allergies, and allergies in general. IMO, it's due to a reduction in breast feeding infants, schools and homes recirculating stale airconditioning, and kids not outside in the sunshine and, as someone else said, eating their pound of dirt.

They didn't "develop" lactose intolerance. In fact, this is normal. Mankind went on for thousands and thousands of years without drinking anything but mother's milk, and then only until they were 5 or 6 years old.
At some point a genetic defect was introduced that allowed some humans to drink unfermented milk into their adult years. Then it was all downhill as cattle were brought into the home to provide that milk. With that came smallpox!
Some of us are still "normal" and live quite well without that defective gene. However, the totalitarian mindset that requires all kids in all schools to drink unfermented milk is the problem.
As we say "Got Yoghurt?"
