Maybe for adults --- but kids need all the fat soluble vitamins you find only in whole milk. They also need fat.

American kids? Need fat?

A reduced fat milk will provide all the viatmins necessary without extra fat. You know darn well that American kids don't suffer from a lack of fat in their diets. It's not like we're in the depression and everyone is eating beans and potatoes.

My two year old daughter drinks 2% milk now. She gets enough fat from the rest of her diet. It's only infants who have milk as a major part of their diet that need whole milk.
