"He'll need to find a new job soon - the CAGOP should come up with an incredibly well funded primary opponent for him for his next election...."

Maybe, just maybe we'll finally have a polarization of liberals vs conservatives being in the party they belong in and we can finally give truth to the lie that there is a difference between the two parties as presently constituted.

Sorry boys and girls, you liberals have lost your so-called base until the Real Republican Party shows up. Until then, we ain't coming back no matter how many names you call us. Name calling only accomplishes a furthur parting of the ways.

The pro-aborts and social issue surrender monkeys are trying to divert you.

Ah, a little "show the flag" and "pump up the troops" address, eh?

Suggestion: Switch them from cherry to grape Kool-Aid. It hides the taste of the strychnine better.

Arnold is actually polling 39% of the Republican vote and NOT 90% as Poobah well knows. A lot of the 39% consists of the starstruck and gullible.

About half of the McClintock vote will go to Arnold if he needs it to win at the end, with McClintock trailing. I am one of those voters (and by the way, I vote cast my absentee ballot until the end). Cheers.

Arnold is polling 39% of the entire California electorate, as BlackElk would know if he weren't a liberal spreading FUD from Illinois.

A lot of the 39% consists of the starstruck and gullible.

But enough about the Tombots. When's Tom going to actually start campaigning? Does he have some sort of gentleman's agreement with Bustamante in return for those tribal gaming contributions?

He's running a very flaccid campaign, he's NOT attacking Bustamante at all, and he just happened to get a bunch of money from Bustamante's biggest supporters...and he's doing NOTHING with it.

When the Domino's delivery guy starts accepting IOUs.

"You people can no longer count on the real base--the 90% of the GOP you insult, heckle, and spit on for not obeying every whim you get--"

Wow, you people who constantly insult those of us who vote on principle rather than expediancy are the ones who use the clintonian approach of insults and personal vilification and you accuse us of name calling! I defy you to find an insult I hurled at you or your kind! So typical of liberals, accuse those who disagree with you of using the liberal's own mode of discourse. Unless, of course, you consider exposing yourselves as liberals an insult.

"Then you had BETTER pray that they never figure out a way to win and then succeed in governance without your fraction of the vote, because if they do, they are NOT coming back, and you're going to spend the next few decades getting nothing from either party."

They will Never figure out how to win w/o it's conservative base because they are too busy being clones of the democrats with their me tooism. Our "fraction" of the vote must be extremely important or why else do they want Mc to withdraw?

I have heard chat about Indian gaming money going to McClintock, but seen nothing to confirm it. Have you? I am largely out of the loop at present.

Rather than mount a campaign against Cruz, Tom is too busy running against Arnold and trying to justify his presence in the race "to the bitter end."

When your "principle" only gets Democrats elected, and then you whine about how AWFUL the Democrats are...you've earned the dunce cap.

I defy you to find an insult I hurled at you or your kind!

"RINO."

"Liberal."

OK, that's two.

So typical of liberals, accuse those who disagree with you of using the liberal's own mode of discourse.

Actually, you're using it right now.

Unless, of course, you consider exposing yourselves as liberals an insult.

Being called a "liberal" for any deviation from any point, no matter how trivial, of your ideology is an insult.

Quit the whining, poet. Get McClintock into the lead over Schwarzenegger by 10/7/2003, and I'll vote for him. Gosh, what's so hard about that?

I also don't see any political future for McClintock in the Republican Party

And I don't see any future for the Republican party if they don't have room for a moderate Republican like McClintock.

That's right, I said moderate. Because compared to just about any Republican of 30 years ago, and most certainly Mr. Reagan, he is.

As far as Schwarzenegger goes, his positions are pretty much left of center Democrat of 1973. If that's where the "Republican" party of 2003 is, they might as well just hang it up, and stop bothering everyone with their yapping.

That all doesn't matter much. I stand by my prediction. Regards, and let's hope for the best, and that it will all work out.

Yes. Just another fringe candidate desperately trying to find relevance in a world that has passed him by.

I've only read one article which stated that McNader received money from an Indian tribe. The Viejas tribe, I believe, and I think I read it in my local newspaper, the San Diego Union-Trib.
