For just signing up today, you have certainly been more contentious on every thread, than helpful. Can't you just discuss the issues without the flames?

I'm not sure what else they could have. They have thrown out the Oui interview and found two weightlifters who said he is racist -- and both have been shrugged off.

The thing with Arnie is that, being who he is and was, everyone would be surprised if he DIDN'T have a few wild stories in his past. Heck, that's part of his "charm", so to speak.

And, of course, he has never claimed to be a saint.

I think the recent "egging" was a telling point. He laughed it off, made a joke about it, took off his jacket and kept on going.

Methinks Arnie is going to be harder to smear than most candidates because he has such thick skin.

"Would you rather have the Democrap Busty, or the liberal republican, A'nold? That is the question... all else, while it would fulfill a dream, isn't going to happen. Though I'm not a Californicator, I believe I'd easily vote for A'nold over Busty... and hope for a better future in the next election!"
As long as Tom McClintock remains in the running I will continue to pledge my vote to him.

If, and ONLY if Tom McClintock drops out of this election will I vote for Arnold.

I agree with you. At that point it is best to batten down the hatches for the duration, and then work to get a real Conservative Republican in to replace the RINO.

And then Boxer dropped the "Matt Fong gave campaign donations to an anti-gay group" two weeks before the election.

I don't care what any of the RABID McClintock supporters do or don't do. They don't matter. It's the people with actual sense who matter and who will help Arnold win.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

"As I've said all along, and anyone who's honest has also said, Tom CAN'T win this race."

The number of times that liberal and moderate republicans call conservatives liars is disheartening. (All conservatives that support McC are not honest? C'mon.)

No personal attacks.

And Bush announced his run for the presidency back in 1999, yet the DUI story didn't come out till a week before the election. Mike Huffington had been campaigning for senator for over a year, yet the illegal alien maid story didn't come out till a week before election day. Etceteras. This is what Democrats do, if you refuse to understand that, you're hopeless.

I don’t dispute that they do this. I just think that after the Nazi-dad, pot-smoking, gang-banging, racist stories are already out there, they could reveal that “drunken Arnold drove his illegal maid to the strip bar” and nobody will care.

If they can’t produce a “dead girl or a live boy” story, it’s gonna fall flat.

Yes the grand poohbah has spoken to the illumanati.

Man McClintock sure does have quite a few of you convinced of this whole divisive conservative mantra that he's been spilling out.

Toooooo funny.

Has Duf Sundheim been AWOL, or what? Is he too afraid to publicly state it's past time to support only ONE candidate? Could it be time for Darrell Issa to take the mantle as head of the CA GOP?

It could have the prospect of another $1600 fundraising take at a pizza and salad get together that convinced Tommy...or the fact that his calls aren't getting returned.Sure took him long enough to figure things out, considering he's had 22 yrs to work at his "craft".

No...I don't believe "All conservatives who support McClintock are liars." Not even close.

But many of them have been spewing propaganda around here.

Like I said, ANYONE who is honest (In public, anyway) will tell you that McClintock has never stood a chance in this race. We're talking Red California here. Simon already lost a SURE WIN...And McClintock would have done the same thing.

It's simple reality. No offense intended towards anyone.

And yes, he is farther to the right than Bustamante.

Yeah, "right" next to him.

I always find it interesting when a supposed conservative makes this claim.  At the same time you want me to consider you worthy of listening to based on your conservatism, you state that there is no or very little difference with Bustamante.

The Howard Jarvis organization that brought us Prop 13 and now promotes sound tax policy on behalf of Californians, say Schwarzenegger is their man.  He has promised not to raise taxes as part of an economic recovery plan.  This isn't important to you?  You claim to be a analyst worthy of consideration, yet you think this is no different than Bustamante's promise to raise taxes by $9 billion dollars?

Schwarzenegger has promised to protect Prop 13.  As a professed conservative you see no difference between Bustamante on this subject?

Schwarzenegger has promised to repeal the car tax increase, but you think Bustamante is identical here as well.

Schwarzenegger has promised to get the car license for illegals reversed.  You evidently don't see any difference here either.

Schwarzenegger promised to clean up workers compensation.  No difference there hugh?

Schwarzenegger has promised torte reform.  You don't see anything benificial with that?  Do you think Bustamante would do this?

Schwarzenegger has stated he does not approve of partial birth abortions.  I guess you don't see any difference here either.

If you want me to take you serious, please address the issues with truth and candor.  Thank you.

"Like I said, ANYONE who is honest (In public, anyway) will tell you that McClintock has never stood a chance in this race."

Again, then everyone who is not honest is saying something else. You're calling people liars or at the best, delusional, and with no facts backing it up.

I am speaking of the McClintock supporters who have said they won't vote for Arnold even if it means a win for Bust-a-move.

Again...I am only speaking from a sense of reality here...Nothing more.

"No. It didn't happen last year, the GOP didn't give McClintock a single penny, why would they now?"

Because he'll use this opportunity as heavy leverage to lock in funding for the senate. That is if he's a smart man. But that really seems debatable at this point.

Gerald Parsky to back the f8^k off.

I have been wanting this to happen for a long time! His fellow travelers have been trying to lynch the party here in Orange County for a long time.

The threads will be hot and heavy next Monday!!

And you can bet that the day after McClintock pulls out, the Democrat smear machine will unload whatever reserves of sleaze they have against Arnold. If it's devastating enough, that'll leave a whole lot of Republican leaders (and more than a few Freepers) with the makings of a huge omelet on their collective face.

You are so right. There has to be a viable candidate to replace Arnold if the progressive spin machine (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, LA Slimes, etc. etc.) unloads a massive last minute negative attack on Arnold. Remember how the brain dead Boxer was elected. Dont forget the last minute 'visited a strip club' charge against Herschinson. Any last minute attack on Arnold will have to be devastating. His current supporters probably like the idea that he visited strip clubs. My guess is some progressive toadie will come out and make a false rape charge. Young, big, doped up, muscle man Arnold forced himself on the poor, frail, helpless and defenseless young girl. Something slightly believable, but completely faked.

Marxist are liars, Socialist are theives, Communist are evil, and modern day Progressives are all three.

At this point, whoever drops out (Arnold or McClintock) should only do it 2 to 3 days before the election.

If you dont think progressives will do such a vial political trick, just look at Ted Kennedy's performance last nite (so 'end of major conflict' does not mean 'end of war ?'). Look at how any of this progressive news networks are covering the Iraq situation. All negative with almost no positive about how Iraq is better and how we might be safer after arresting and/or killing so many terrorists and Saddam sympathizers. Look at how all Californian progressive news outlets are covering Bustamanti, almost all positive. Only negative was his Indian Casino funding scheme, but Ariana had to bring that up to break through the progressive bias barrier.

No...I am accusing them of spreading propaganda in support of their favorite candidate.

I REFUSE to believe that ANYONE has really thought McClintock could ever win this race. But then again, I am a Realist.

Because of course, intelligent is defined as "doing what the leadership says to do."
