He also won the governorship, twice, in spite of the CRA doing everything in their power.

Why did a more conservative person not win?

Why is this state democratically controlled from the governor to the dogcatcher,with nearly two thirds of both houses in liberal democrat control/

Even wilson,with his pro abort stance -THE litmus for many here- was better than the alternative, both times, against DI Fi and K. Brown,as well as better than his successor to the office.

McC may be the cat's meow, but he has to first get in. Currently,his odds don't look so good, and I do not think he will attract many votes from the middle,and no crossovers from the left, hence, in the end, he will not get the plurality needed to win.

I really, really,do not look forward to cruz as the next gov, esp not for the next 8 + years.

No one else even ran for the nomination. Wilson was fairly conservative as a U.S. senator, turned RINOish in his first term (huge tax hikes), then turned over to the good side of the force in '94 and onwards...
