Is that really Kerry?! Is there a link...a source? I'd like to have that to pass along with the photo ;)
To: gitmo
Sorry...I meant to add "thanks"!
To: SkyPilot
Yes I do recall that 'just gets people riled up' quote. I say we need to see that footage as much as photos of Pearl Harbor or the Holocaust.
In the same way that I avoid looking at x42 or his wife, because their images get me riled up, anyone who is disturbed by seeing our country being attacked is free not to look!

Look here:
Winter Soldier and here:
Dewey Canyon III.
I agree that doesn't look like Kerry. Apparently a number of protestors threw their medals at the protest, so maybe that's not him. They have his Winter Soldier speech at these sites, too.

(The medals Kerry threw away were his then. But now they weren't.)

Remember there was a soap opera/horror show called "Dark Shadows" back in the 70s? Doesn't Kerry look like the main character "Barnabas" in that photo?
To: Doctor Raoul
Doc--yeah! He does, and I remember that cheesy show too.
To: Doctor Raoul
Absolutely he looks like Barnabas.I do like the name Lurch, tho.

For the six years I have been here it has always been a rule to keep the graphics down, some of us caint get high speed access. There is no such "rule".
If you don't want graphics, turn them off via your browser settings.
Now, shut up.

For anyone who cares; RNC Chair Gillespe v. Terry McAwful. Usual blather from Mac I only caught the end of it .. but did Terry claim that only 45% in the polls would relect Bush
That isn't what CNN reported last week. they said even though those polled weren't sure what direction Bush was going .. that they trusted him and would vote to relection him and CNN said that poll # was up 12% from July

Not Barnabas the vampire but rather Quinten Collins the werewolf.

I wasnt bragging about it I was stating a fact.
To: Alas Babylon!; All
I never watch these things, but did today, so I'll happily put in a report for you all!
I turned on ABC (Disgrace the Nation) to see 9-11 things, but it was just Stephonopolus??? (sp) with Colin Powell. I thought Powell did pretty well deflecting George's whining "Well don't you think we should have waited a little longer to go in blah blah blah...?" Powell says "for WHAT?" That was good.
Then the program got right to its main purpose which is initiating the "fairness" doctrine. They stuck Ted-bloviator-Kennedy on so he could trash the President. LOL He could only suggest minute changes in Iraq policy - mostly let our loyal friends at the UN take control. (Thanks Ted for once again trying to smash the sovereignty of the United States... and join with old boys who hate us.)
Ole Georgie Stepho just "happended to have" some quote on a rat who wanted Rumsfield and Wolfowitz to RESIGN. Ted Kennedy started with saying that they should stay out of the picture and let Powell-state-department-talking head handle everything. (As if this has EVER been a success in the past...) George asks, "Well so and so says they should resign. Do you agree?" Kennedy just "happens" to think so as well- it wasn't planned in advance... but says their "policies" should resign. (As if policies are living breathing things - like constitutions ;)
Hope this informative report gives everybody the correct impression of what was truly said this morning :)

BTTT Apologies... it wasn't Disgrace the Nation - it was This Week on ABC. As if there was much difference. Sorry for the error.

Now watching Meet the Press from the west coast. I have to say that I think Colin Powell is doing an excellent job.

How about......Berger called him and threatened to destroy him? Delicious.
One of the last callers....the one who tried to deflect the story by blaming Reagan and Bush I......was slapped down quite well too.
Gotta go to the SportsBar down the street to catch the games now. Bye.
To: Libertina
That's ok, girl!!! I just scroll - watching the person not the program. I caught Condi 2x's. She emphasized, both with Tony and Wolfie, where we have run into trouble in Iraq was the
lack of, not distruction of, the infrastructure outside of Baghdad. We have been building their infrastructure.
MY question is -- WHY and WHERE was the UN? Why wasn't this information relayed to the US. The UN knew the country had no electricity, water, or sanitation. If the UN had been honest we would have been prepared for what we are facing in a post war. The UN is useless in Iraq - send them to Africa!!! The US is and will get the job done!!!
Hope I can catch Miniter on C-SPAN today!!!

I never could understand that, why would he throw someone else's medals away?
The things you hear in the media continues to make me think, that they think, we're idiots.
