So... All of a sudden, when what Tom's been yelling at the top of his non-amplified (acoustic is all conservatives ever git) lungs suddenly starts happening... And somebody actually funds a Recall qualification effort and people who have to be paid start gathering signatures because all the volunteers are down in the city shopping at Nordstrom's instead...

That's exactly the point. Tom didn't get anything done. He's not been able to do anything in his official position, and he didn't do anything to get the recall.
Arnold is right - what the state needs is leadership. Issa showed more leadership that Tom ever has. A leader needs some charisma and some drive. Tom doesn't have it, and he downplays the importance.

Well... you made some good points there that I can't argue too much with. I thank you for reading that far through my late-nite verbal diahreah. I never could spell that word!!!

No, Tom's not perfect and his support of Prop 215 which is turning out to be a scheme to skirt the law in my community and turn it into an aging Hippy retirement/drug/welfare culture along with his little visit with the Gaming Indians at the same time as Bustamante are a concern to me.

But I can find things I dislike about each and everyone of the flock of candidates, so I still "can't git no satisfaction!" I certainly know which one I feel I can trust the most to do the most right things!!!
