The largely Spanish-speaking crowd at the SB 60 signing today were told "You are legal now."

God help us.

You know who else can vote, the Al Qada agents in San Diego. I wonder if they will vote "No on the Recall, Yes on Bustamante"? Better yet, I wonder if they will upgrade their class C drivers license for a class A and drive a large bomb in a semi from over the boarder straight into a nuclear power plant. If McClintock and his group get the petition for the referendum online I will let you know.

A recurring problem with Leftcoasters is their inability to recognize that the US was attacked by AlQaida, and that terrorism remains a threat.

About 6 months after 9/11 we had a meeting that brought some Leftcoasters in. The subject was getting the Brentwood postal facility back into business. This Leftcoast woman got up and asked why that should be a goal ~ she proposed just shutting it down and moving on, that everything was "over".

Actually, it wasn't "over", and getting Brentwood back in business remains a goal of the folks in the WarshDC area.

This driver's license thing in California is similar. Californios think "it's over", so who cares if Mexicans get California driver's licenses.

A fair response by the rest of the country, where "it's still not over", would be to simply reject the legitimacy of any California driver's license for any purpose whatsoever. That way, those of us who have a distinct feeling "it's not over" can protect ourselves from those who think "it's over".
