It's just like a Democrat to refuse to allow unformalized bureaucratic solutions to problems. This is exactly the kind of red tape that McClintock (or Schwarzenegger for that matter) should be able to help sweep aside.

Hmm. Seems to me that we are usually the ones insisting that a deadline is a deadline and the rules are the rules. McClintock has run for office many times in California; it's impossible for me to believe he didn't know the right way to do the paperwork.

The clown not only filled out the paperwork incorrectly, he did not file the amended form on time. It is the only reason he lost the appeal. I know about the date, but I would bet that the date on the form and the time he turned in the form are not the same or the judge would not told him to take a flying hike.

But it is the box he checked that has me concerned. He checked a box indicating he would not abide by a voluntary fundraising cap of $6 million. Why?

It is a 2 month election and in the first three weeks he raised a whopping total of $300,000. Why on earth would he think that he could raise over 6 million dollars?

Next, McClintock's lawyer, Richard Ackerman, believes Secretary of State Kevin Shelley, a Democrat who opposes the recall of Gov. Gray Davis, is taking advantage of the opportunity to put a wrench in the senator's campaign.

Is everyone in the state against him? But, to be truthful the Secretary of State would want McClintock's in the voter guide, to steal votes from Arnold. This action helps Arnold not Davis.
