Cruz Bustamante in opinion polls, is barred from publishing a position statement in the voter's guide for the Oct. 7 recall election because he did not fill out the required form according to guidelines.

I've been an Arnold-defender in the interests of his fiscal values and also the simple fact that Democrats don't stop terrorist attacks... Republicans do.

I think all Republicans should get upset, however, when garbage political manipulation hurts one of our candidates. You can bet that if this happened to Cruz, he'd be in that voter guide. This kind of sleazy power at the top is one of the reasons we have to push so hard to wrest control of the state away from the RATS.

If he was a Democrat, would you feel the same? As with Hitlery

I'd relate very few political figures on either side of the aisle with the word "nazi".... to me that is reserved for, yes, Hitlery, the radical progressives and socialists. Besides, making snide references to Arnold's father in this political arena is a DNC talking point... you wouldn't want to go about sounding like a Democrat yourself, would you now?

So it's OK for liberal Democrats but not liberal Republicans. OK. I'm a conservative first and a Republican second. It goes with that whole "thinking for myself" thing. I don't bow down and worship liberals just because they have an R next their name.

Besides, making snide references to Arnold's father in this political arena is a DNC talking point

Ahh...and making snide references to Hillary being Hitlerlike is an RNC talking point?

I believe Reagan was a Democrat at one time so I guess he was a commie then. Right?

It's not working, but don't take it personally. I don't buy it when my 10-year old tries to justify bad behavior, either.

But you're willing to ignore bad behavior if he's a Republican.

I'm willing to ignore a smear campaign mutually promoted by both Cruz and Tom supporters, yes. I don't consider his actions 20 years ago to be relevant to the man he has been since he got married, acted as a good father and goes to church weekly. His social views are not to my exact taste, but they match the preferences of approximately 80% of the electorate. I believe the way to push California to the right is by offering the most right-ward standing candidate the most voters will accept.

Now, before you harp on me about not standing up for conservative "principles", explain to me exactly why you aren't supporting this candidate?
