I agree. I'm seriously considering selling my television--I doubt I'll have the stomach for it.
I have one (actually bought one new last winter to replace the 70s-vintage set), but the last time I turned it on to watch anything but a video... ... ... I think it was the first "60 Minutes" program that had the Clinton-Dole idiocy that finally terminated 35 years of regular viewership.
Keep the set... off.
