I agree. It sounds like he wanted to make sure that they (Terri's lawyers) felt federal laws were being broken in Terri's case. If they were appealing to a federal court and he wouldn't hear different testimony, then he was trying to tell them that it would be a waste of time.
The good thing is that ever since Jeb got "involved" by sending a letter to Greer, those who cared for Terri years ago found their courage to step forward with what they know about Terri's care. I think before that, they thought it couldn't help, so they stayed silent. Now they are speaking up about how "loving" a husband Michael really was. And it's about time!
