I cannot fathom how the Schindler family has been able to hold up against 13 years of sheer evil from the state of FL.

I notice that the Schindlers signed over guardianship to Michael Sciavo in either 1991 or 1992. So they must have suspected no foul play in the beginning. Also, why were they required to sign over guardianship in the first place? Wasn't that automatically placed with the so-called "husband," in that Terri had no living will?
