(Mandate 2nd District Court of Appeals can still be followed after Terri gets her rehabilitation)
Heavenly Father, these are the words this day of a right-to-die advocate: "It's going to take some courage and fortitude on the part of a number of judges to see that this happens." This happening is to be the death of Terri Schiavo ... so here we are again, Lord ... coming before You, our Righteous Judge, with our petition for Terri's life. Is there not one judge among these, Father, who has reverence for life? Is there not one judge among these, Father, who sees You as the giver of life? Is there not one among them, Lord, who knows that in Your hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind? Is there one among them, Father, who would storm the gates of Heaven for his own child?
You never weary, Lord, and You never tire ... strengthen us in a supernatural way that we not become weary, or tired ... but give us resolve and conviction to turn back, by Your hand, this evil tide that takes away the lives of the unborn and the elderly and the disabled ... to be like God is the sin of Satan.
Father, in Your mercy, give us righteous, earthly judges. Continue to speak words of wisdom to those who prepare to go before the judges ... may they be empowered by the Holy Spirit to speak for this mother's child ... let them speak for this father's child ... may they speak for all of us. Soften these hardened hearts, for we again ask in the name of Jesus, Amen ...

Your welcome :-)
I had bookmarked that site back after the 2000 election. I haven't used it much but it looks like it has lots of good info.

New reality series, 'Audition for Murder'.
These 'culture of death' people are so far ahead of us it's frightening. Terri might not be saved, but she might save the rest of us.

Terri might not be saved, but she might save the rest of us. What a powerful and true statement, dear friends.
I'm going to bed. For some reason this evening I have felt a strange peace with regard to Terri. I can't explain it. Pegita, thank you for your always beautiful prayer.
MarMema, please ask the Admin Moderator to remove your post with your real e-mail on it. Wouldn't want any nasty people lurking to put you on every spam list on the planet. For who knows who lurks here at FR, just waiting to make mischief? GOD KNOWS, THAT'S WHO. Then FReepmail it to me, please, and I'll get them to you the minute I can.
Goodnight all. Will see you in the a.m.

Interesting....the attorney, Glenn Woodworth (Post #4518), who represented M. Schiavo in the malpractice suit referred the attorney, Campbell, who argued the Schindler's case for Terri's life the first time!
Pillars of the Bar
Excerpt:
Jack Helinger, the first recipient of the award, calls Campbell an "absolutely outstanding person and a lawyer. She's beyond just being friendly. She has a good heart. To her credit, she brings that good heart to her lawyering skills. The (Terri) Schiavo case is obviously the most noteworthy. That is a case that reasonable minds can differ as to what's right and what's wrong. But she brought not only her legal abilities to that case, but also her personal good heart and passions."
For Campbell, the Schiavo right-to-life lawsuit has been among her toughest cases. She took the lawsuit in 1998 at the request of malpractice attorney Glenn Woodworth. "I met with the family (Bob and Mary Schindler) and looked at some of the records and thought this was really sad that these poor parents weren't ready to let their daughter go," Campbell says.
"Her parents asked me to please visit Terri once before I decided against accepting the case. I met Terri in a nursing home. I saw how much she responded to her family. Her dad was telling her football jokes and she was grimacing, making pouty faces, over his corny jokes. When her mom talked to her, she made noises toward her mom. She clearly responded to her."
Campbell took on the Schindlers' plight to save their daughter whose husband, Michael, was seeking court approval to remove her feeding tube, saying she was in a persistent vegetative state.
Campbell, working without compensation, took the case to trial in 2000 in front of Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer and lost. But the lawsuit is far from over. It's now being fought by attorney Patricia Fields Anderson, who obtained another trial that resulted in another win for Michael Schiavo. But the matter is now under consideration by the 2nd District Court of Appeal.
As a result of the Schiavo suit, Campbell says she has become more aware of people who have disabilities and their daily struggles. "It was truly a blessing for me to have been involved in that case," she says. "I see brain injured people like Terri who are now walking and talking and able to participate joyfully in their life. I'm much more aware of the rights of the disabled. It seems like there are many people who feel that someone like Terri, a brain injured person, is someone who doesn't matter. That's not true."

Welllll....lookie HERE!!
right to life
"Last week the Schindlers also asked Judge Greer to remove himself from the case, which he refused. On Monday he turned down a second request-- that he "order swallowing therapy for [Terri] in an attempt to teach her how to take in nourishment on her own after a feeding tube is removed," according to the AP.
However it is not entirely clear that Greer has altogether ruled out allowing such therapy. According to the AP, Greer said "the attorneys had not used the proper legal avenue and that the issue is still being considered for a later ruling."

Yes , but didn't they say she was comatose? Since you think they said "comatose," I'd think they did say it.
I was in such shock that they were even talking about Terri that I know I did not catch the details.
I could not see the screen so I don't know what headline they had.

I saw the FoxNew report and this is what I saw: a woman lying in bed with eyes wide open and looking up at a mylar balloon, following the balloon clearly with her eyes as someone moved it. Thanks for posting a description of what was on the screen while FoxNews reported. I'm glad that people who watched will have that positive image of Terri.

When a feeding tube borders on the barbaric, by Ronald CranfordProviding sustenance to someone who is happy to interact with her family is not barbaric.
It's so easy to picture Cranford happily chatting at the water cooler, with doctors who think newborns with disabilities should be starved.
