Cutting the spending is a MUST. But if you raise taxes, you're likely to drive even more business out of the state and cause even more recession. Tax increases do not necessarily bring in more revenue, especially when your economy is already in deep trouble. Cut the spending. Cut entire departments out of the budget (we'll live). Cut 1/3 or more of the government. And cut the taxes to spur the economy.

Government = take; Business = give; if only more business's and workers for those business' understood that the "free enterprise" concept that has been the ONLY key reason that we are the only surviving super power in the world.
California business's have the freedom to relocate (the one's with future vision) to maintain their productivity and profitability and still remain in the U.S. by chosing a state that is more palitable to their business survival.
