The more I watch this campaign, I have the same question. He has trashed Arnold by name, made disparaging comments about how inexperienced Arnold is, compared himself to Seabiscuit and Arnold as War Admiral, etc. etc.
When talking about the governorship he talks about Davis, but has little to say about Bustamante.
Logic should tell him that trashing Arnold will infuriate Arnold's supporters, and he needs their votes. He knows that a whole lot of Republicans are supporting Arnold.
It does make me think he is not running this race to win. It is very strange.
Yesterday morning I listened attentively to local radio host, Rick Roberts, interview McClintock. According to McClintock, I am a "country club" Republican for supporting Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And this guy wants my vote?
