Thanks for the additional picture and for stopping by...You really don't get the scope of the support to keep the commandments from the major national network news (surprise surprise).

This kind of reminds me of all the Support our Troops rallies as well as the March for Justice...Activism at its best!

So, why can't we sue the ACLU for infringing on our history? Or religion? Or something?

How about we stop funding them with taxpayer dollars?

"I've been reading the arguments on both sides of this issue here on FR."

I have been reading all the threads this past week. Getting dizzy reading the debates :-)

I support Judge Moore.

I share your sentiments about the ACLU.

They did it in TN when we went and protested their attempts to impose an UNCONSTITUTIONAL income tax on us.

And we all watched with pride as you fought the system!!!! Another example of conservatives saying "we're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore"

>>>I *really* don't see what everyone's getting excited about. This stuff is a piece of cake. You just take the quaddle and nest it in the quork, careful to make sure the putanterstomp is not potfurned by the rumblestooper. Then, once the cellpaddoodle -- or is it the cellspittle -- of the tablemeister is set to a number mode HEX (where hex is defined as a new number system between 0 and 15, with letters for the numbers past 9 -- convenient, huh?), you're off and running.

Html posting, by Dr. Seuss.

Thanks for weighing in on this debate.
"Seperation of church and state"--The expression Justice William Rehnquist described as "a misleading metaphor"--appeared in an exchange between President Thomas Jefferson and the Babtist Association of Danbury, Conneticut.

There is no mention of those words in the Constitution. The truth doesn't matter to the opposing side though.

I believe in the separation of church and state and I don't believe in shoving ones religion down anothers throat .. but the separation from church and state was meant to keep the government out of religion .. not to keep religion from the people .. We The People As far as I am concern .. The ACLU and their supporters can kiss my Irish Catholic Butt .. I will not deny God and I will not deny his Commandments

Very well put Mo...I couldn't agree with you more!

May I add, the ACLU and their supporters can kiss my Polish Catholic Butt ..

overqualified to hold the position . . .

LOL. Over-something, anyway. :) Overstuffed? See, this is *precisely* what I've been trying to explain to Billie.

Well, on today's topic -- from which I do not mean to distract -- I have to tell you I'm reminded of what my Reverand says. That Christians know that they are in some sense a small voice in a fallen world, living amongst but not within a darker reality. If, given the current state of constitutional law, there is no realistic probability of legal recourse (leaving aside the question of whether there should be), it doesn't mean the struggle is not worthwhile.

So -- mindful many would disagree -- it's not the outcome here that's most important.

>>>Did a one day fly day to Chicago several years ago just to see his exhibit

Now that sounds like fun!

>>>how did the Monet lesson go?

The boys did sit for the story; but lost interest during the painting. The girls did enjoy the painting. The did a really nice job.
