Please help find and share the NEWS - the unreported daily SUCCESSES of the troops in Iraq.
I update my homepage daily. DoD and CENTCOM are trustworthy and available to every American with internet access.
Our press is failing the troops and the country.

Thanks for this great post. Remember all the screaming faces demanding another 60 or 90 days before war? Can you imagine how the summer would have been for our troops and the Iraqi people if July-August were spent in battle instead of rebuilding?

Thanks for the heads up!

The press and Dems think that talk of quagmire will lose Bush the election. They still don't get it. This president will perservere in this fight because he believes it to be the right thing to do for America. He is leading, not following dem pollsters. And if he must, he will lose reelection rather than knowingly compromise the security of the country. I, for one, am an optimist, and believe that enough Americans will recognize this to reelect him by a wide margin. How would Gore be doing by now? Would the sanctions on Afghanistan be working their magic yet? Would Gore be apologizing to the UN and Arab world for American arrogance?

The press is too busy bad mouthing our soldiers and commander-in-chief to be positive. When our President said "no retreat", they ignored it because they want the POTUS to appear weak and ineffective which is so untrue.
Our media is about as accurate as Baghdad Bob was. Ragtime, you are informed and keeping us informed. If it wasn't for your pings, I wouldn't have a clue about the status of Iraq.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but AP et al seem to have changed tactic in casualty reporting from Iraq. Instead of the 62 US KIA over the 114 days since May 1, 2003 - with the "1 killed per day" to "nearly 1 killed per day" - they are now reporting the larger ALL fatalities (136) that includes non-hostile deaths, plus casualties which include minor injuries, plus Iraqis killed or injured, etc. etc. etc.
It's a noticeable change in reporting and I think it's in response to the fact that the US was successfully preventing fatal attacks.
A good site for keeping track is at Iraq Coalition Casualty Count

From the President's radio address:
Working with Iraqis, coalition forces are on the offensive against these killers. Aided by increasing flow of intelligence from ordinary Iraqis, we are stepping up raids, seizing enemy weapons, and capturing enemy leaders. Would that the press would repeat this over and over again instead of the negative things they choose to harp on.
