Yes, it is. I was friends with Shorty McWilliams girls. After he passed on, one of the sons-in-laws took charge. He couldn't make a go of it.

Sela Ward was a prime mover and shaker getting investors in to redo it. She did yeoman's work...and, it's now open for business again.

Their Black Bottom pie is to die for!

I ate there last in around 84 or 85 passing thru. I do remember the BB pie.

Shorty McWilliams was a major league football stud. Wasn't he one of the few if not the only players in NCAA history to be a 2-time All-American for 2 different teams (Army and MS State)?

I'm going to have to sit down and wade through this whole wonderful thread. Unfortunately, I've been too busy to follow it as it has grown.

BTW, I hope you stalwarts are mining this thread for more MS Freepers to add to the ping list. :-)
